That's why we're intentional about creating age-appropriate, meaningful, and fun experiences for them.

Journey Kids Ministry Core Values

• Safety: Each child will be emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually safe at Journey Church. We conduct national background checks on every staff person who interacts directly with our kids. .
  
• Fun: We teach the Bible in exciting, creative, and hands-on ways. 
  
• Biblical Truth: All lessons taught come straight from the Bible.
  

Nursery Program (Birth - Age 4)

Journey provides a loving, caring, and nurturing environment for our little ones. Our focus for this age group is to share God's love through nurturing, playing, and encouraging.

Journey Kids (Pre-K through 6th Grade)

You’re welcome to keep your kids in worship with you of course, but they’ll probably be a whole lot happier in their own space. Elementary-age Journey Kids are released from the worship service at the appropriate time so they can participate in their own Christ-centered Bible study.

Age-appropriate activities are scheduled on a regular basis to help build community among Journey Kids.

Youth Groups

We encourage teens to attend worship with their families on Sunday, and we offer opportunities for study, service, and hanging out through our Sunday evening Journey/Union Senior High Youth Group at Journey and our Journey/Union Junior Youth Group at Union UMC, Belleville. Each year our Middle School and Senior High Youth participate in mission trips where they can be of service to others.

Confirmation

Youth in grades eight and above participate in confirmation classes in preparation for their becoming members of the church.
